Company History

Don and Diane Thornton formed the company in 1994 (as Off Beat Books) for the publication of Don's book Beat This: The Eggbeater Chronicles. Three years later, the company was proud to announce the publication of Apple Parers. Both books have been highly acclaimed by collectors and antique dealers alike as the definitive guides for antique kitchenware aficionados. The company's name was changed to Thornton House in 1999 for the publication of an expanded 2nd edition of the eggbeater book, The Eggbeater Chronicles.
